songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer

I grew up in a family band on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. I’ve performed extensively as a banjoist, bassist, guitarist and singer. I released my first solo EP “End to End” in 2018, and my new EP “The Season” in 2021. Listen on my Bandcamp.

As a studio musician, I’ve played banjo on many records, including Grammy Award-winning “Home” by Tim Kubart and “The Closest Thing to Home” by Ira Wolf. Find my playing on Radiolab’s “Dolly Parton’s America,” on the Person Place Thing podcast, and see me act in Season 3 of Crashing on HBO. You can hear my original score in Jenny Slate’s “Stage Fright,” streaming on Netflix.

I perform often as my solo project, and with my string-bands The Calamity Janes and The Pearly Snaps. I’ve taught private and group classes in banjo and ukulele at some of my favorite places, including Jalopy and Miles of Music Camp.
